Two facts about Niue!

Discovery
Captain James Cook that found Tonga, Easter island and several other islands was the first European to sight Niue in 1774 and named the island ''Savage Islands'' because the people didn't want him on the island and they seemed to be painted in blood. But name was later changed to Niue, Witch means ''Behold the coconut.

Beauty
Niue is most beautiful because Niue has a coast line like a few others islands and the caves are breathtaking
with colourful fish and the beautiful corals.

The graffiti street is filled with art and so colourful it’s like a graffiti community doing what they want to do. They're free and they're good at doing art. The street was so colourful that people wanted to take pictures of it and more and more people went there to draw more graffiti.

My matariki weaving (ball)

On Friday a spacial guest came through the door. Then she introduced her self to the hole class and she told us why she was here. And the reason why she was here was to show us to weave a ball, so we got into it but we first sang a song for matariki. After we sang the song then Whea hei  showed us how to make an ball. Then we all went up to the table and got our flax and i tried to make one but it was to hard to memorise the steps so tried and tried then i got from Whea hei and i got the steps and made one and went outside to play with it. And came back inside to take a picture. Then it was lunch time and i sat on the floor to eat some food (nachos cheese and some garlic bread). And finished it of by playing outside.

My Black Death infographic

Hi this is smolley from welsey intermediate and from room 2. I made my own infographic from google drive and used google drawing to make my own Black Death infographic. If you don't know what black death is it is a virus in the 1300s and started in Europe and Asia and spread around the world and made a name for its self as the most deadliest virus.
